Providing customer-focused, professional wastewater services in an environmentally and financially responsible manner

Why I want to be a Clark Regional Wastewater Commissioner

Service to the community has been an important part of my life.  Retirement is on the horizon and now I look forward to the next chapter of my life.  I am a life-long learner – from Tidewater Barge Lines to Fire District 6 to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center – I have enjoyed working and learning about each industry.

Through my community service, I have become acquainted with the general manager of Clark Regional Wastewater, as well as the current Board of Commissioners. I was always impressed with their commitment to the District and the community.  Their long years of dedicated service to CRWWD was an inspiration.  My father-in-law, Bill Lothspeich, was also a commissioner for the District and was proud of his involvement with CRWWD for 28 years.

My husband, Brad Lothspeich, has demonstrated what service to the community looks like.  He has spent a lifetime serving on various boards and volunteering in many ways – including the last 7 years as a Fire District 6 Commissioner. He inspires me. CRWWD commissioner and friend, Neil Kimsey, has also motivated me. He is proud of the organization he serves and the work they do. When he told me he was considering retirement from the commission, I decided to start attending the public meetings to see if this new level of community service and the wastewater district could be my next step after retirement. I have enjoyed learning about the CRWWD operations, collaborations, employees and customer service. It is an organization I would be proud to be a part of, while serving my community.

My commitment to the public, as part of this commission, would be to do my part to ensure the ratepayers of the District continue to receive quality service at a fair rate.
